Responsible luxury - a new approach to property development in Bali
Bali, like the rest of the world, is facing threats from climate change. The Island’s rapid development and infrastructure modernization have intensified its environmental challenges which are further compounded by a lack of sustainable practices in developments. Recognizing this, our team is committed to developing properties with reduced carbon footprint to minimize our impact on the environment.
Our 2023 ESG pledges
ENVIRONMENT
Install capacity to generate 50% of electricity on site using solar panels
This will set our baseline for clean energy generation for all developments. By generating 50% of clean electricity on site, we can reduce reliance on fossil fuels and avoid approximately 83,149 kg in carbon emissions per year in our current development of 15 villas. This will also provide economic benefits to villa owners by reducing energy costs and increasing energy independence.
ENVIRONMENT
Offset at least 100% of carbon emissions from construction activities
We will do this by purchasing certified carbon credits to support climate mitigation projects in Indonesia. At the same time we are also exploring other opportunities to reduce our environmental impact, such as procuring materials with lower embodied carbon, to reduce our reliance on carbon credits. We will also improve the energy efficiency of our developments and reduce their water consumption.

Prioritize local partners and service providers
This means that when we have the opportunity to work with local-owned businesses, organizations, or individuals, we will give them first consideration. This includes everything from contractors and architects to accountants and attorneys. Partnering with and supporting local-owned businesses and service providers is not only good for the economic growth of the community, but it can also provide a number of benefits; local partners are often more attuned to the broader community and can offer unique insights and perspectives that can help us better serve our investors and other customers.

Find the most effective ways to contribute to the local community
We are currently in the process of researching and identifying specific ways in which we can contribute to, and make a positive impact on the local community. As part of this effort, we are engaging with local experts to gather recommendations on the most effective ways to contribute. We are committed to finding meaningful and impactful ways to support the community, and will provide specific solutions and updates as they become available.

We are committed to transparency and accountability
We will produce annual reports to show our progress towards carbon neutrality, including the amount of carbon emissions we reduce and offset and the steps we are taking to reduce our impact on the environment.
